With its wooden floor, bookcase and old photographs on the wall, the Reading Room has a period feel. The photo here shows it set up for an exhibition but it is also a perfect setting for smaller meetings, clubs, or gatherings.  The room offers a quieter, more relaxed and private atmosphere,  making it ideal for committee meetings, workshops, or small events away from the bustle of the Main Hall.

It is conveniently located opposite the kitchen and right next to the serving hatch, making it easy to provide refreshments during your event. It has a capacity of 30 people, seated theatre-style.

Tables and chairs stored in the Main Hall are available for use in the Reading Room.

The village’s mobile Post Office operates from the Reading Room every Monday and Thursday morning, making it a well-used and valued space within the community.
