HallMaster booking types are changing
From the beginning of August the existing Hallmaster booking types will no longer be available and will be replaced by a new set of booking types. These are designed to help simplify the booking process. Existing bookings up to the end of September will retain their original booking types, any booking for October onwards will be updated to the most appropriate new booking type.
The ‘Resident of Lockerley and East Dean’ and ‘Non-Resident/Commercial’ booking types will no longer be available. Instead the price rates will be determined by the customer profile and the event details.
What are the new booking types?
The new booking types will be split into 2 main categories, open activities and private activities
Open activities are those that are open to the wider community to attend. This includes group activities such as Brownies and the Youth Club that are naturally aimed at specific sections of the community. The booking types in this category are:
-
Open Group Activity Examples are Pilates, Garden Club, Brownies
-
Open Meeting Examples are Council Meetings and AGMs
-
Open Other Event Examples are the Lock Inn, Harvest Supper and other ad-hoc community events
For open activities please set the Privacy option on the HallMaster booking to “Public” or “Public – contact details hidden” so others can see your event on the HallMaster calendar.
Private activities are those where attendance is by invitation only, for example a birthday party or a meeting where only a selected group of individuals can attend. The booking types in this category are:
-
Private Childs Party Examples are Birthday Parties and Exam Celebrations
-
Private Other Party This includes any private event where alcohol will be consumed. A deposit will be charged for these.
-
Private Other Event Any other private use of the hall that does not fall into the categories above
Why are we changing?
The new booking types will simplify the booking process for our customers and will improve our ability to understand and analyse how the hall is being used.
