Main Hall
Our Main Hall is a bright, welcoming space at the heart of the building, measuring around 14m x 8m. It’s perfect for all kinds of occasions — from community events, clubs and celebrations to concerts, parties and family gatherings.
The hall can comfortably seat:
- Up to 170 people in rows for performances or meetings
- Around 120 people at tables for meals, parties or receptions
At one end you’ll find a large stage with basic lighting, ideal for plays, concerts, talks and presentations.
The kitchen is right next to the hall, with direct access for easy serving — great for everything from tea and cake to full event catering.
The hall also doubles as a sports space, complete with a full-size marked badminton court suitable for singles or doubles, and plenty of room for other indoor activities.

Reading Room
Our Reading Room is a bright, welcoming space that forms part of the original 1920 Hall building, full of character and village history.
It’s a perfect setting for smaller meetings, clubs, or gatherings, comfortably seating around 30 people in theatre-style rows. The room offers a quieter, more private atmosphere — ideal for committee meetings, workshops, or small events away from the bustle of the Main Hall.
Conveniently located opposite the kitchen and right next to the serving hatch, it’s easy to provide refreshments during your event.
The village’s mobile Post Office also operates from the Reading Room every Monday and Thursday morning, making it a well-used and valued space within the community.

The Annex
Our Annex is a bright, comfortable, fully carpeted room that offers great flexibility for community use. Folding doors open directly into the Main Hall, so it can be used either on its own or as an extension of the larger space when you need a bit of extra room.
On its own, the Annex seats around 70 people in theatre-style rows, making it ideal for meetings, talks, workshops, classes or smaller social gatherings. It’s often used by local clubs, activity groups and coffee mornings, giving it a friendly, welcoming feel.
The room is conveniently located opposite the kitchen serving hatch for easy access to refreshments, and includes a pull-down projector screen for presentations, film nights or community events.

Kitchen
Our modern, fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cater for events of all sizes — from coffee mornings and family parties to community suppers and celebrations.
It’s a commercial-grade stainless steel kitchen, complete with:
- A large professional cooker
- Food warming cupboard
- High-speed dishwasher
- Mains-connected hot water boiler
- Microwave, under-counter fridge, and freezer
A large serving hatch opens directly into the main hallway, opposite the Annex, and there’s also direct access to the Main Hall, making it simple to serve food and drinks during events.
When you hire the kitchen, you’ll have full use of all cooking facilities, crockery, cutlery and utensils.
(Please note that consumables such as tea towels and oven gloves are not provided.)

Children & Young People Annex
Our Children & Young People Annex is a bright, flexible space designed especially for youth groups, clubs and community activities. Spread over two floors, it offers plenty of room to play, learn, and connect — a welcoming environment for both younger users and community groups.
The Annex includes Wi-Fi, a small kitchenette, and comfortable areas for meetings, workshops, or creative sessions. During weekdays, it’s also ideal for small businesses, classes, or pop-up services looking for a convenient local base.
It’s a lively, adaptable space that’s already home to a number of local groups and activities, and it continues to grow as a hub for the community.

WiFi
Free public Wi-Fi is available throughout most areas of the hall, making it easy to stay connected during your event, class, or meeting.
Log-in details can be found on the notice boards inside the hall — or just ask a member of the hall team if you need a hand getting online.
Wi-Fi is included with all hall bookings.
Car Parking
There’s plenty of free parking available for visitors to the Hall. We have around 20 spaces on site, including two designated Blue Badge bays conveniently located close to the main and hall entrances.
You’ll also find an additional 15 free parking spaces just across the road on Butts Green, providing easy access for larger events and busy occasions.
Whether you’re popping in for a class or attending a big community event, parking is simple and close by.
We kindly ask all visitors to park considerately and avoid blocking nearby driveways so that everyone can enjoy easy access to the Hall and surrounding homes.
